We chose a variety of fonts that we equally wanted to use for our credits and title during the opening 2 minutes of our psychological thriller. As a group we wanted the views of some of our target audience, so we devised a questionnaire for them to complete. We deliberatly chose to ask a mixture of non-media and media students and ex students to complete this questionaire because we felt as if the opinions from both were important. From the media students we were able to find what they thought fit the conventions of a thriller opening and from the non media students we were able to see what most pleased our target audience.

We found that the most liked font for the title ‘pest’ was the extra blurred. Some of the comments was it is easier to read, looks more professional and fits the genre. The credits font most liked was between ‘headshot’ and ‘angle’. However, we chose as a group to choose ‘headshot’ font for our credits while flashing the ‘angle’ font over. We feel this would be effective as it would disorientate the audience, we wanted to change the conventions of the genre by having flashing overlapping text rather than a simple text that the majority of the films i analysed incorporated. However, all of this is important to use and concider as our target audience is valued.
