We wanted our score to be specific to our target audience. In order for this to happen, we set up some interviews to allow us to see and record direct reactions to 3 tracks that we thought would be suitable for the opening of our psychological thriller. As a group we were drawn to slightly industrial sounding tracks as we felt they would suit the mix of quick and long cuts we included in our filming. We took inspiration from Se7en which used 'Closer'- Nine Inch Nails. The instability in pitch, dynamics and tempo reflects the disorientation we wish our thriller to cause for our audience. The track is to going to be played with the montage section of the opening (including the credits). We used a website called Audio Network to find our 3 tracks.

After we had completed the interviews and taken on board the feedback we recieved we decided to go with the most voted for track- Track 3 (Dare To Hope). Before going into the interviews, our group was very keen on Toxic, however the immediate reactions our interviewees gave to third track was what we were looking for. They were confused and hooked. The tension built slowly but effectively. As a result we feel this interview process was very sucessful and effective and allowed us to please our target audience.
